On Monday 4 July 2016, the National Jewelry Institute hosted its annual Louvre gala. The honoree for the evening was SAR la Princesse Camilla de Bourbon des Deux Siciles, Duchesse de Castro, from the Italian branch of the Bourbon family. The exclusive, by invitation only event was limited to only 200 guests from the worlds of philanthropy, art, and design.
The dinner was not black tie but elegant cocktail attire. A tour of the exhibition “Heroes and Anti-Heroes, from Hercules to Darth Vader” at the Louvre preceded the dinner which was prepared by 3-star Michelin chef, Eric Frechon of Hotel Le Bristol. The proceeds from the evening benefited the Parsons School of Design Paris and the National Jewelry Institute.
In October 2018, the NJI’s Gala will take place on the first day of FIAC in Paris.
